Vega also has enterprise versions and those are the ones that bring the big bucks

If that segment was enough to make them money then wall street wouldnt be tanking their stocks so hard. Come on, it doesnt take much to connect those dots.

This has already been discussed in the thread: yes they would. They're ignoring the majority of what AMD does to focus on one bubble called mining.

It's just a very creative interpretation of data. It's not that dissimilar to what politicians do to convince voters.

They'll use anything to make money and AMD is a really good and easy stock to manipulate. Mission accomplished.

While vague, Microsoft has come out and said demand for Xbox One X has exceeded expectations. So there's that too.

Black friday is coming up, you realize AMD would be filing bankruptcy if there isnt higher demand in this timing of the year right?

Uh... What?

They'd be filling bankruptcy if they're allegedly selling less in Q4? How does that work? They have been running red for close to a decade and they've just finally run black and now they're filing for bankruptcy because Q4 isn't as good as Q3?

And how does Black Friday come into the picture? It's primarily an American thing, it's a consumer thing and the margins for retailers on the products AMD make are razor thin. Three reasons why that makes no sense.

As for as I know the enterprise segment doesn't do Christmas shopping, so that's a good chunk that doesn't go up. Consumer electronics is usually what goes up. To achieve that AMD needs more design wins especially in mobile which they're only just launching and in a limited fashion. Their presence in pre-builds is still small. So they can only hope PS4 Pro and Xbox One X consoles are flying off the shelves - which remains to be seen.

Edit: I just looked at Intel's latest report and they aren't expecting any real boost from Q4, so I expect them filing for bankruptcy too. Perhaps I'll check Nvidia's too.
