I want to build an apu gaming pc

I want to build a gaming pc is it worth it to use an apu for gaming? I want to use an A10 78th. And should I pair it with a graphics card I heard you could do that.

The FM2 platform is obsolete, if I was to use an APU for a gaming rig I'd get one of the newest ones

I would wait for the Desktop raven ridge APUs when they come later. The post below shows the gains for the laptop equivalent:

Not know yet (If we are talking about the upcoming zen based ones) but it should be something like "R7 2700 with Vega 10" or close.
