Apparently, Linus has 'burned the bridge' with NCIX, although this is probably with the management level. That being said I'm sure he would be interested in employing some of their former Tech Tips team.

Happens all the time all over the world. For example, engineers from tech companies will often be snatched by other companies. The exact same happens in the car industry. Faraday Future stole a few Tesla employees, so yeah.

There is a difference between offering some external talent a job for a position you are hiring for and offering a friend a job for a position they might not want. It could seem rude or snobbish of Linus if he just started offering jobs to his friends for work they don't want.

It wouldn't really. But what would he be doing? They don't just hire hosts. All who have been hired have some primary task other than hosting videos. Luke was camera person first, benchmarker second.
