Good luck with that. If it works then it sure is a great deal. However, couldn't you try if it works when you were at the seller house?

Unless he asked you that because he wanted it to seem that he is sure it worked before so that you think it is supposed to work even if it doesn't so that you don't blame him for it not working... anyway, sorry for overthinking this... hmm.

I assume he didn't know you only paid 20 for the TV and was looking at TV prices in general, you can get really cheap 32" TV's for around the 130 to 160 range and some expensive ones in the 300 dollar range when bought new, so if it was a half decent 32" TV then we could say that is worth about 150ish plus the 120 you paid puts it close to 300, the CURRENT PRICE on the parts you listed come to 330 brand new on PC Part Picker right this second, so he wasn't taking a huge loss in his mind if the TV was a half decent TV and not some cheap model, maybe you didn't know how good a TV you had and just thought it was crappy because of how cheap you got it for (impossible to say not knowing the model number).

that said I have a personal rule against selling stuff to people without showing them that the item is functional, so not seeing the parts working concerns me a little.

i live in seattle and here 25-30' tv goes around $50-$100 and varies depending on the brand. I sold him the samsung which is a decent tv. the retail price on that one is around 300 i know its because i have been using the same model brand (identical) tv for the past 3 years. but i was lucky that the person selling the tv was a rich microsoft worker. he even came to the house drop the tv  personally driving a porsche lol for only $20 LOL.

the psu should be arriving here shortly. i ordered last night should be here soon.  fingers cross guys.

UPDATED:

BTW he gave the single slotted ballistix sports 8gb ram right. and now he wants it back and asked me " can we work something out on the ram" then i replied "okay np with me. just give me $25 and ill go buy a new rams" so basically i got the mobo and cpu for $95 + tv (worth $20)

HOOOOORAY! i have yet to power the cpu tho. the tense holy **** its real. man i feel like im doing this dude wrong, but he the one doing it and im just agreeing on everything.

I sold a set of 12" subwoofers to a guy like 2 months ago for 200 bucks (would have cost you 300 to buy new on Amazon back when they where available), I had actually bought them for $239 as a combo on another site with a coupon, then the guy messaged me this week wanting to buy the wood boxes they shipped in and offered me 30 bucks, so I got almost every last dollar I spent on those subs back and got like 4 years of use out of them he was happy with the price and didn't even try to haggle so I don't feel to bad about it, it helped pay for my new stuff that I've been wanting.

Looking great so far, with one small exception. I'd dial back that overclock while using the stock cooler. It looks like you're doing 4GHz at around 1.45v (going higher than 1.47 at times) which is pushing dangerous levels, in my opinion. I see your Package temperature hit 80c which has me concerned. This is the CPU temperature you need to watch.

Go into your bios and find the VDDCR CPU Load Line Calibration option and set it to Low or Medium, avoiding High and Extreme as they can be dangerous. Then try 3.8GHz at 1.30v. Stress test with Aida64's System Stability Test checking the first three boxes (CPU / FPU / Cache) for at least one hour to verify stability. Keep an eye on the Package Temperature and CPU VDD (Node 0) which should be the same that as your CPU Vcore, but it's closer to the Package temperature reading, so easier to use. During the one hour stress test, your package temps shouldn't go much over 80c and your vcore should stay as close to 1.30 as possible.

If your Package Temperature stays significantly below 80c, try 3.9GHz at the same voltage. If Aida64 fails on either test, raise the voltage up a small amount and try again. Your goal is the highest frequency possible while staying below 1.35v, and capable of passing 6+ hours of Aida64 stressing CPU/FPU/Cache. Yes, 6 hours at least for your final overclock verification.

Edit: You can try the High LLC setting, but closely monitor your Vcore usage while under load to make sure it's not overshooting 1.35v by a great deal.
