HP 570 p017c Max ram?

Someone asked me if this computer could support more ram and so I tried doing some research and getting conflicted answers.

The HP official website states that it only support up to 8gb dimms and up to 16gb max storage (only 2 dimm slots on the motherboard) but Crucial, Kingston and some other ram store states that their 16gb dimm is 100% compatible and that the system can support 32gb.

Is this a situation where nobody really knows what works until someone tries?

Looking around it's a pretty new motherboard, but the question I ask is this:

What do you need more than 16GB ram for?

So rise up, all ye lost ones, as one, we'll claw the clouds
