This morning it works just fine, I came home just now and this happens:

I push the case power button, the system starts to come on.  2 seconds later it shuts off.  I touch nothing.  5 seconds later it starts to come on again.  2 seconds later it shuts off.  A very rythmic cyclic which i didnt let continue for more that 10 seconds, before i hit the power switch on my PSU.  1 second later it turns on, for 1 second then turns off and stays off.

WTF!!!!

All system power draws from a UPS, which is at full charge, so its not an issue of power in (unless the UPS isn't outputing power, but my monitors and ps3 work just fine).  Is my PSU just dead?  Why now and not this morning?  Please help!

PSU: corsair cs650m, bought about 3.5 years ago and used in the same system for all that time

UPS: CyberPower CP1000AVRLCD

Have you tried plugging the system directly to the wall, bypassing the UPS?

Update:

Yestirday's Tl;dr: i plugged it into the wall yesturday and it worked.

This morning, still plugged into the wall, same problem happens!  And now, after i turn off the PSU, and it tries to turn itself back on for a second then goes off, it clicks a couple of times, like its still trying to power up but doesn't have enough juice in the capacitors.

One day my UPS decided it couldn't deliver enough power, so just gave up. Try bypassing it to be sure

How long have you had the thing? 600W for a UPS sounds a bit boarder line to me, considering you seem to have multiple monitors, a tower, and a PS3 plugged into it. But, I'm no expert in electricity so...

I've had the ups for about 6 months, havent had any problems with it.  I think i clocked my whole settup at 400-500 watts under gaming loads before i bought it.
