GTX 1070 for 3440x1440?

Hey guys I'm saving up to get an Acer Predator Z35P on black friday and right now I have a GTX 1070 and an i7 7700k in my computer. I eventually will upgrade the graphics card but I was wondering if anyone has experience trying to drive this resolution with a 1070 and what the experience is. Right now I'm playing BF1 and Overwatch as well as some older titles like Fallout 4 and Skyrim SE. Let me know if you have any insight. Thanks!

It should work pretty well on high settings.

typo? that supposed to be 1440 or do you legit mean 1140? 1440p ultrawide can be done on a 1070, might have to go down to medium settings in some games

Sure, just lower the settings to high in Battlefield and you should be alright. You can keep your settings to ultra with Overwatch tho. It's not that demanding.

I would not go further than 2560x1440 with a 1070.

Even 1080p is kinda hard with the highest settings but Overwatch should be fine. Even in 4k.

Thanks! I'm excited for high refresh rate and resolution.

What do you have? I'm running 1080p on BF1 at full ultra and like 50% gpu usage at 60fps. I also ran DSR to 1440p ultra settings and like 80-90% usage at 60fps.

It depends what games you play.

I don't play BF1. But for example Witcher 3.

BF1 is also a well optimized game.

I wouldn’t recommend it for an amazing experience, any older you should be able to max out, but anything demanding made in the last 2 years or so you will probably need to drop to medium high

well I play gta, bf1, bo3(:/), various others on high to ultra on 34 predator with asus 1070 and it runs ok, you would need high settings in the really demanding games and maybe even drop a couple of seetings to med but it will hold 60fps or more depending on the game........aand yes I do have a 34 predator and 1070 so don't sit there telling me it don't do this or whatever
