It finally came. Asus Rampage 6 Extreme!

It took a little bit but it finally got here.  While waiting for EK to finally ship out the monoblock for it (its been delayed a few times as they worked out a way to cool the 10G chip under the I/O cover), I decided to give the motherboard a little test. I wanted to make sure that it recognized all my RAM, all the lights worked, PCI-e slots and M.2 slots worked, ect.  I even did a little bit of overclocking with my very old Swiftech H220x AIO.

I have to say I'm very impressed with the board.  It is very easy to work with and looks stunning.  My 7900x CPU seems to be a winner too.  It was able to boot into windows at 1.2 volts and an OC of 4.7.  I could finish 10 runs of Cinebench without throttling and I could run the CPU test of Aida 64 with no core higher than 85C.  I wasn't going to chance any FPU stress tests as every one who has reviewed  the 7900x has pretty much said, don't try it without a very good AIO or full watercooling.

So While I'm waiting another 1-2 weeks on the monoblock I decided to send my CPU to Silicon Lottery to have it delidded and binned.  At this point I think I have a pretty good CPU and I would like to see what I could do with better thermal compound.

Can't wait to get it all into my case.

Someone needs to make a discrete VRM waterblock for it.  Monoblocks suck ass for enthusiasts.

Their monoblock looks pretty good I think.  Either way the VRM cooling is not going to be an issue on this board even without the Monoblock.

Nope.  Monoblock will deal with the VRM.
