Not possible. Best option is to VM or hackintosh macOS.

Or buy a Mac.

I came across some VMware method through this site https://garagebandforpc.org/ . Is this what you are mentioning to ? I was gonna give it a try!

Another option is to find an alternative Windows equivalent software. Garageband  is defiantly not the only software in the world.

I am not into music production to provide a suggestion. But I am sure you can search, try sofware and see what best fit your needs, look at music production forums, and buy whatever software (assuming there is no free alternative) that meet your needs.

No, but it has some of the best infrastructure behind it and its also built to be extremely simple and it has cross platform integration.  Something those other programs never will.

T6 mate

T6 makes it easier to get into other software like Studio One or Pro Tools where as Garageband pretty much only let's you upgrade to Logic Pro.T6 is also more feature and has more complex tools. Also you can Load VST's in T6 wheras in Garage Band your limited to AU

All I can think of when I read this is "it works on Mac, Windows, Linux, etc." which of course is not the case so what do you mean?

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Ah.  Well I suppose you're right, we won't likely see that between windows and windows phones any time soon xD can you imagine?

Personally I think I'd find cross platform as in other OSes more useful than cross platform as in desktop to mobile... who is going to do advanced recording and sound on an ipad? lol

My Dad does and he is part of a local studio. You never know when you might have an idea that you want to take down and you dont have your laptop. Garageband is also very competent on its own on iOS.

There are all kinds of music accessories for iPad that work with Garagband too.

Laptop: 2019 16" MacBook Pro i7, 512GB, 5300M 4GB, 16GB DDR4 | Phone: iPhone 13 Pro Max 128GB | Wearables: Apple Watch SE | Car: 2007 Ford Taurus SE | CPU: R7 5700X | Mobo: ASRock B450M Pro4 | RAM: 32GB 3200 | GPU: ASRock RX 5700 8GB | Case: Apple PowerMac G5 | OS: Win 11 | Storage: 1TB Crucial P3 NVME SSD, 1TB PNY CS900, & 4TB WD Blue HDD | PSU: Be Quiet! I'm aware of irig and always found is baffling that they've managed to find a market... but I guess you're right, it must be more people than I would imagine xD

For me I feel like it really doesn't serve a purpose. If your looking to record audio then it's too complex. If you want a sequencer and stuff then it's too basic.I prefer the Korg stuff much more

It works for a lot of people. If you want even more stuff you just take your project to your Mac. Thats what my Dad does. He'll make a project and get the foundation and take it his iMac to finish it or edit some heavier stuff.

Apple surprisingly has put a lot of effort into Garagband and it shows. Especially with the most recent updates.

TBH lust looking at those Apps I dont see how its better than Garageband. Not to mention Garageband is a free service.

Reading around I cant find any arguments against Garageband at least on mobile. It is the best DAW on mobile and it works with a pretty competent one on Desktop for the low cost of $0.

I need reasons. Reading pure app reviews would give you the exact opposite impression. Not to mention the UI of some of these other apps look like crap.....

Yes it can. I think you have to open it on a Mac first inside GarageBand and then save it in order to open it in logic. But since GarageBand is already on every Mac I don't see that being too big a deal.

So make it on an iPhone/ iPad, share it to a Mac (via airdrop), open with GarageBand on the Mac, save, open in Logic.
