850 evo or 850 pro

DaRedBoi

Hi everyone!

I am going to be building a pc soon and I saw these two ssd's.

I was wondering if I should spend an extra 20 dollars for the pro because its 6 extra gb and from what I heard slightly faster. Hardware Canucks also uses them. :)

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/JMPfrH/samsung-internal-hard-drive-mz7ke256bw this is the pro

I will be using this system for gaming and editing vids soon.

Pro also has 10 year warranty but evo has 5

Completely up to you. I'd do it not for the performance, but for the warranty.

Hi!

The 6 Extra 6gb is kinda useless (you can understand on the latest video on tech quickie)

In my opinion you should buy the pro because the speeds are the most important thing on ssd!

I'd go with the Evo. I currently have two of them (one SATA, one M.2), both work flawlessly. I heard some stuff about issues with the pro, but I don't know if those issues exist still or not.
