Note 8 Reveal 8k footage looks like crap

Why does it look so pixellated? It does the same in 4k as it does with 1080p on a 1080p monitor... I was expecting better scaling than that.

While that's true - I wouldn't expect interlaced 8k to have such a profound effect, considering its downsampled.

It's probably a wider shot that has been cropped to create that "slow pan" effect. Additionally, you've cropped the YT video a fair bit as well.

 

I just loaded up the same scene on my monitor and while the lower text is a bit jaggy, it's not as bad as the picture above makes it seem.
