New Ryzen Build! no beeps, no display... Need halp

So I built a new budget rig using Ryzen (for gaming and college work) and I am really not sure what's going on! I can turn on the PC successfully with no beep codes (all the fans spin and HDD starts too) and yet I am getting no display from my monitor at all, it just gives me the "no signal" message. I have read about RAM incompatibilities bit I don't think that is the case, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Specs:

Ryzen 5 1600

ASUS Prime B350-plus mobo

Corsair vengeance 8Gb DDR4 2666MHz

1TB Seagate barracuda HDD

Corsair 450W PSU

Asus 750Ti GPU (a friend gave it to me, but he was certain it worked)

Many thanks

Struan

Initialization boot can take a while (people have reported it taking anywhere from 15s to a few minutes). Could be that.

Check your motherboard manual for correct RAM placing too

it might be because of the old GPU, even though I can't think of a good reason why it wouldn't work.

I'll try and leave it for 5mins, I'm willing to try pretty much anything at this point

I plugged my monitor into my motherboard instead of my graphics card when I built my first PC (with a non APU processor indeed). Are you as dumb as I was ?

Fortunately I wasn't, I plug my HDMI into the GPU and still get no display. I would try the mobo but I know ryzen does not support integrated

i have the SAME issue, please help me !

EDIT : this is extremely late, but i found the solution, sort of. Read Below

The HDMI cable i was using was defective. I replaced it and it worked. The one thing you can do i use your displayport or DVA cable and see if it gives a display on the monitor.

not sure why you're worried about this being marked closed when it's over a year old. Also a mod isn't going to mark it as closed just because you think you know what's wrong with his computer. Your cable might be bad but he might have a perfectly good cable. And even if he marked your answer as solving his problem, that doesn't mean the thread has to close.

Insanity is not the absence of sanity, but the willingness to ignore it for a purpose. Chaos is the result of this choice. I relish in both.

you have no right to speak to ANYONE, in such a condescending manner

i was just offering my input to the thread  !

also, i didn't know the threads here are usually not closed. its possible i thought this was my thread as my own question was quite similar, instead of someone else's thread and hence i asked the mods to close it for better maintenance of the forum

mind your own business if you have nothing better to say !

Are you serious?

Like really?

I was offering my input to you same as you were offering your input to this thread. I was not trying to be condescending to you in any way shape or form. You asked for the thread to be closed by a mod. I explained that mods don't close threads for no reason and that other people may have more input and the OP might not want the thread closed as your answer may not be his. Furthermore, you wanted the thread closed, when it was not your business to close it as it is not your thread. So for people needing to mind their own business you're not one to talk. Lastly, this thread is nearly 2 YEARS old, and you want to resurrect it after 2 whole years despite wanting it closed earlier. If you have nothing better to do than resurrect a 2 yr old thread and call me condescending while being condescending yourself, I suggest you finding something more productive to do...
