Also not to be that guy, but you're not going to get that kind of money from GoFundMe by just asking for a gaming PC.

It'll be fine for gaming. Though you may want to change the 570 to a 1060 6GB, depending on how much you plan to mine Vs game.

Not so sure how it'll do in bitcoin mining, as generally miners of bitcoin use ASICs. For other currencies, it should be fine, but be sure to find a calculator to make sure you don't run a loss due to electricity cost

Mining isn't as profitable as it was about a month ago. Probably like $2 a day assuming you don't game at all. Which would basically be useless once you put the power bill in there. Plus there's that small risk of breaking your card while mining.

As in? Are you going to try to make a fake story? Because there is no way you can collect $1000 for a PC on Gofundme...

No, no no, don't worry. If gofundme doesn't work I'll source of my own and parent's money.

Lmfao k. Don't get the 570. Get a 6GB 1060, it's cheaper and better. Get better RAM. Add an SSD.

A couple months ago I got around $4/day with a 380x. Now you get less than $2/day.

Ethereum dropped in price.

Might not be as profitable with AMD but I still make around $2.50 with a GTX 970.

AMD is usually better at mining when comparing similar GPUs.

I'm just saying that it's a lot less profitable now than it was a few months ago. Plus that $2.50 is basically gone if you factor in power bills, that is if you pay them.

I make a bit of profit mining with my 970. I'm still making as much as I have been for the last while. For me, mining is still as profitable as it has been.
