Should I trade me custom loop beast for a AW 13 OLED?

Damascus

Should I get the more mobile laptop or stick with the raw power of the desktop?

Up to you, honestly. If you're traveling for so long that a desktop won't be used and the laptop can replace whatever function the desktop would serve, then go laptop.

@Pendragon @Galm I know what you guys think of the laptop (fully specced out AW13 skylake) but is it worth it?  Performance wise I'll have a drop but in that department I'm mostly worried about the CPU.

skylake???? no. 3.1ghz is too slow. kaby lake is SLIGHTLY better, but idk why Dell chose to not put OCable CPUs in the AW13. For mobility i think it's great, but i really dislike the 6700HQ. That thing is garbage.

Well in that case my questions pretty much unanimously answered a solid no, thanks for the input.

My main thing is why would you get that over like a P950HP6.  It's similarly portable because the AW 13 is a brick.  The 7700HQ isn't too bad either better than skylake at least.

"Hot garbage" is a relative term.  It'll still easily game.  Especially at 60Hz.

Thing is that I have the opportunity for a straight trade, not getting liquid  capital.  If I were buying a laptop of this calibre I would get an aorus x3/x7 or an aero 14/15
