Upgrade or New Build?

So, I built a computer back in 2015 (2 years ago) for about $400. Consists of: 

  • Fx 6300 (Cooled by Corsair H55)
  • Msi Gtx 750 1gb OC edition 
  • Msi 970 Gaming Mobo
  • 2 x 4gb Kingston Savage 1600 ram
  • Corsair Cx 430M
  • 128 gb SSD and 1 tb HDD
  • Corsair Spec 02

I was wondering if I should just upgrade my gpu or build a new system so no bottle necking will occur. For a new gpu, would I need a new psu to power it? If I were to build a new system I'd likely get a Ryzen 5 1600. Any suggestions? My budget is around $600- $700.

Personally, I'd just do a completely new build, perhaps just keeping your storage and case.

Build new and keep the storage. You can keep the PSU and Case as well but I would recommend getting a nicer Case and a better PSU since 430w is sort of low for ryzen

I'd upgrade everything except the case, cooler, and storage. Something along the lines of:

- Ryzen 5 1400 / 1600

- B350 motherboard

- 8 / 16GB of 2666 / 3000 / 3200MHz memory

- 650W PSU

- GTX 1060 6GB or Vega 56 (when it releases)
