Oldest motherboard that has a PCIe x16 slot

Don't question why, but I want to run some tests and benchmarks just for fun with a 1050 + whatever is the oldest CPU and motherboard that both support PCIe x16 if that makes any sense. Basically, what is the oldest motherboard that I can buy for a reasonable price on eBay.ca that has a PCIe x16 slot? Thanks!

Find the video Linus did with the $300 potato PC with that mobo+CPU combo, should be a good starting point.

LOL, I think that's too new ;)

I know that some 478 motherboard support PCIe (maybe all of them? I don't know my P4 age hardware).

Not all of them. The two I had for my P4 HT only had AGP for graphics. Although one did have PCI-e. The only problem was that it was a PCI-e 1X slot.

If I remember correctly, 478 socket didnt have PcI-e x16 , most boards came with AGP.
A safe bet would be 775 boards, still p4 but a bit better technology.
