Hello guys and gals!

I very recently bought an HP Omen laptop and ran immediately into problems as I couldn't delete misbehaving Steam files from C: for the reason that I'm not an administrator even when I am the only user of the computer. Windows shows that I am an admin and have all imaginable right to access and modify files on my SSD but when I try to delete files from drive, it says that I don't have the necessary user rights to do so.

Any ideas?

Ps. First post here, hope that I did everything right

I freshly installed Steam and Rising Storm 2 to my new one. After I installed the latest Windows update, the issues started showing. Originally I weren't able to run RS2 because Steam would complain about me not having all the rights to use some files of the game. I tried going back to zero and uninstalling Steam and removing all the leftover Steam files from my drive but I couldn't. Now I got the game running but still I don't have admin rights even though Windows shows that I should be administrator.

I'm seriously confused.

Steam is annoying about that.  I don't even know how they do it, but you have to delete each file individually.  You can only delete a folder when it's empty.  It doesn't matter if you have ownership.
