Samsung 850 Pro 256GB partition question

Question 1: Fixed it by deleting the recovery partition(you will have to disable system protection), installing Samsung 4.X and then choosing clear OP, that got me all my space back, then I installed 5.X and reprovisioned it. This only works if the partitions are next to each other.

Question 2: Just a place holder screen actually doesn't show anything relevant 9_9
Question 3: Reprovisioned with 5.X seems any unallocated space is called over provisioning and doesn't require any special treatment to function as such.

Question 4: Yes =D, but seems 5.X could have done it too.

While cleaning up my drives I noticed 23.85GB of unallocated space on my 850 Pro, I understand this is for over provisioning, probably left over from when I over provisioned back when I had Windows 7 on Samsung Magician 4.X, in disk part I cannot see the partition I assume because it's unnallocated. Question 1: is there anyway I could extend my C: partition to make it larger, using the 24GB of space even though it's not suggested? Question 2: When I go into Samsung Magician 5.X and look at over provisioning it has the grey area labeled OP however when it says run OP at 10% it wants to create 37GB of provisioning, when I did it before at 10% I assume it made the 23.85GB why are the sizes different? Also it has the partitions labeled and sized incorrectly, it's showing a D: partition that I can't find myself anywhere and the C: partition is shown taking .5 something which can't be right. Question 3: Is there anyway to check to make sure the old over provisioning I did is still recognized and working? Question 4: Would I be able to install Samsung Magician 4.X and clear the OP?

1) Win+X

That doesn't work because they aren't next to each other. I've been trying to find a work around for that.

my understanding there are two ways to overprovision. one is through hardware the other is to just create a smaller partition when you first purchase the drive. the latter only works if the drive has never been used and the cells are cleared. I think i got this from the arch wiki.

If your OP is done in hardware then i really dont think there is anything you can do without erasing the drive.

I think to OP the space has to be unallocated, what you(@schischka) described would still claim the space and prevent it from being used as a work space I think I read somewhere. I did the OP with Samsung Magician a while ago. I wish I would have cleared it before updating.
