Hello there!

So I want to make both a LAN and video capture PC so I can get back into video making again as well as have friends over. Before I make it however I would like to know how much it is actually worth since I don't want to waste money/go over the 'too expensive' threshold when building it.

Here are the specs:

- Q8200 @2.33GHz

- Dell XPS 630i TED-C113J Motherboard

- 6 or 8GB of DDR2 RAM

- GTS 250 512mb in SLI

- 160GB HDD (With Windows 10 64-bit)

- CiT Ignition ATX tower

- 650W PSU

- DVD R/RW

- 761H PCI-E HDMI Video Capture Card

- Linksys 2.4GHz PCI Wireless Card

I already own one GTS 250 so I just need to buy the other.

I was thinking that it is maybe worth £150 - £200 with but I could be wrong... Please let me know the value!

Thanks - BP

Building one, however I want to build one where I am not overpaying for the whole system. (If it was being sold as a whole system for a certain amount by someone else, I wouldn't want to go over that amount when building so that I am getting the best 'bang for buck')

Maybe £150 give or take.

The biggest thing of value in there is the capture card and the copy of Windows 10.

The GPU is worth maybe $30 give or take

The processor is around $10 to $15

The RAM could hold some value if it's DDR3

Everything else I wouldn't really put much value into.

For a used system, I would target the $300 to $500 range. Look for a good quad core 2000 or 3000 series processor at least, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, something around the GTX 750Ti range, or maybe even no video card and toss in a 1050Ti yourself, and then toss in a capture card yourself as well.

This is the best I can find for my needs: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hipoint-650W-PSU-power-supply-48A-on-12V-1x-6pin-pci-4x-SATA-3x-Molex-8pin-/322619629273?hash=item4b1da0ded9:g:lpoAAOSwhuxZejeQ

I know it is an awful PSU however the system will use about 550W at best so there shouldn't be any issues whatsoever on power consumption plus the 12V rails are at 48A so it can't be too bad.

Don't buy PSUs used. Ever. Get a cx 450m or something.

Problem is that I don't have that kind of money. I already have a decent gaming PC (On my profile) within that kind of spec but I just need something to capture RAW footage from my gaming PC/other cheap PC's so that I can get back into making Youtube videos about cheap tech. I will occasionally have a friend round to play games and I need a better 'spare' PC since they can't keep bringing their own cheapo system with them since they can't yet drive.

I am also fond on aesthetics so an SLI PC would make a nice addition to my current PC family.

Had no problem in the past. I've had free PSU's given to me in the past that work perfectly fine.
