7500U vs 7200U

I'm looking to get a new laptop and am trying to decide if investing the extra money to go from a i5 7200U up to a i7 7500U. The actual specs seem very similar, only a slight reduction of clock speed and a megabyte of cache. Is it worth the extra money? (I am a computer science student if that helps)

What is the price difference?

There is basically no difference between the i3, i5, i7 "U" CPUs besides a tiny amount of extra L3 cache and clock speed.

Are there any other differences beside the CPU? $100 is kinda pushing it for the i7 7500U vs i5 7200U.

The i7 models generally have more RAM, but im fine with 8gb for my uses

It's up to you then.

If it was i7 + 8GB extra RAM for $100 I would go for it.
