A E S T H E T I C A - Ryzen 7 Build Log

MattBoxer

Hello one and all,

This is a build log of my new PC,  A E S T H E T I C A

and I must say this is a huge upgrade from what I was running before Specs below:

Sorry for the Low Quality images xD they were sourced from Facebook Messenger and my Phone.

Spoiler

Old Rig:

AMD FX 4100

8GB DDR3 @ 1333mhz

TX3 EVO

GTX 660

500GB HDD

here is an image of the state of that build

 ShIMjIn.thumb.jpg.96b22dfb95e7b286711c171df8958124.jpg

And anyway I started to get parts in this included a Phanteks P400s TG, Ryzen 7 1700, some sleeved extensions, an MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon and a ASUS RX 480.

However this was April of this year and DDR4 prices were ridiculously high and still are but I managed to score some new Corsair Vengance LPX 3000MHz ram for under £100 on Ebay and I also proceeded to buy a Cooler Master, Master Liquid 240 that was on sale too.

Also while I was waiting for the RAM to arrive i just couldn't keep my hands of touching the parts xD and I have to say this RX 480 is MASSIVE against my GTX 660.

I have to say this is a FAT stack of components:

Somehow I managed to delete most of the images I took after I built it but these are the ones I had left:

18742653_1258363240945286_494195589_o.jpg.7591eac2248dffcbd8f224a8d9ee5782.jpgLJCrNJ3.thumb.jpg.7e4a76fbe0f2aa6564eddcfc9d5cc965.jpgmGgIZLe.thumb.jpg.ef332f8e696f9c265387d30fdfb5f309.jpg

Moving on to a few weeks ago, I brought an LG 29" 75Hz freesync dispay and a new 1080p monitor for VESA mounts and two Phanteks static pressure fans to replace the CM ones as they had circular frames and aren't that great for rads.

I also messed around to get some better cable management as well.

Here is the rear side for cable management:

And Finally my monitors / Setup:

IMG_20170728_175353.jpg.1ee3e3187d6a39d6c85367f907a57b44.jpg

My next planned upgrade is a new PSU as this one is too loud for my liking with every fan running under 1000 RPM I can really tell that it is loud. And possibly a RX Vega mid range card whenever they come out. :/

Thanks for viewing and there shall be a few more updates coming soon!

NICE! That setup/monitor placement is reallllllllllllly clean, also love the way the AIO tubes go under the 24pin, beautiful!

also NEEDS MOAR RGB

Thanks, I was thinking about getting another RGB strip but i got an adaptor for my desk one to also use MSI Mystic Light to Sync it.

Also I have ordered an Acrylic GPU support bracket to try and fix the SAG.

IK your build doesn't have a character theme but putting some kind of black and white action figure in front of the GPU bracket would look nice (maybe Venom or a Black Ranger? idk)

I have to disagree with routing your 24pin around the tubes, but it's still a nice looking build overall. If I were you, I'd move the cable comb on the GPU power a little closer to the GPU, and add a 24pin comb if possible.

I think a regular storm trooper or clone trooper would look better and be more visible, build needs more white not black lol

Yeah. Just get a few Lego sets and have some Stormtroopers and Death Troopers lined up in formation. Or crawling all around on the components, that'd look pretty cool.

EDIT: Giving me an idea for my own PC.... the case (Enthoo Evolv) is grey like Star Destroyers and the Death Star.....

A week ago I ordered a Acrylic GPU support bracket off eBay a UK modder was selling for £12 as I wanted to fix the STRIX sag. Today they came (they were delayed as he ran out of custom bracket screw) and I have to say it was a great deal.

Here are some potato pics:

Awesome build man! Couple of questions:

1. How are the extensions? Is cable management is managable with it in the Phanteks case?

2. What are the differences between the P400S and regular P400?

Cable Management is very easy in the P400 series as they provide velcro straps built into the case. Also the extensions they are thinner than some but that makes the quite flexible and I got a multi pack that had the 24 pin, 8 pin cpu and a 8 + 6 pin gpu for under £20 - $27

The P400S has sound dampening on the front and left side panel where as the P400 doesn't.

Awesome thanks! Just to clarify, you got the Phanteks cable extensions, correct?

I also am thinking of getting the cable extensions. Still a toss up between P400 and P400S

Awesome thanks! Just to clarify, you got the Phanteks cable extensions, correct?

I also am thinking of getting the cable extensions. Still a toss up between P400 and P400S

Yeah I did, I should have clarified that xD.

Really there is not much sound dampening in the P400s except it comes with top covers (solid) if you are not using top fans.

Other than that it is the same.

Well if you know your system will produce a large amount of noise, then I'd get the P400S. For me personally, I don't care about noise, so I'd get the P400. Pretty simple lol. I'm into sleeper PC's so I'm still rocking my Gateway DX4860 case and I notice no noise really.

Haha there are only two fans running, so I think I'll be fine

UPDATE 2: I received the 1070ti today as apparently I got free next day delivery ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ .

SO bye bye to the RX 480 and HELLO, MSI GTX 1070 Ti:

I also game the PC a good clean and found a standoff that a screw got stuck onto which meant I had to get a pair of pliers out and drive the screw out.
