Arctis 7 Discord

My arctis 7's arrived today after switching from the Siberia 200's, and my friends in discord have said my mic sounds much quieter and tinny.

I changed the mic boost using equalizerAPO and that seems to have fixed the problem too, but the comments about sounding like I'm talking through a tin can remain.

I watched a review of them where the entire video is recorded using the arctis 7 mic and it sounds perfectly fine, and while doing mic tests on my PC it sounds exactly like my voice, so why would it sound worse in discord?

audio compression

change the bitrate to 128kbps if 64kbps isn't good enough, and to change that you goto the server voice settings, and then change the bitrate. i dont think you can change the bitrate when in a private call in a PM

Can only the admin do that? I can't see the server voice settings
