Is linus media group owned by fullscreen network?

I was wondering, i thought linus media group was a privately held autonomous company. But wikipedia and socialblade say their channels are owned by full screen network. I hardly see any mention of such thing in their videos.

 

So can anyone explainnthis thing?

You'd have to look at his Incorporation papers, should be public information, so perhaps a BC Works location will have that info. You may have to pay a fee of some sorts to get that info. I know I had to when finding out who owns a house, in order to file a lawsuit against the home owner.

You seem to be mixing up "claimed by" with "owned by."

 

Being "claimed" by a network means that they offer services to you in exchange for the ability to include your total views, monthly views, and subscribers in their "network totals" that they use to pitch to advertisers (eg. "our network has over 50,000 channels in a variety of verticals and serves over 1.5 billion views per month to 50 million YouTube subscribers"). Sometimes this includes a fee in the form of a % of your earnings on YouTube, other times it does not, just depends on the kind of contract you have.

 

I can't go into detail due to NDA, but our contract with Fullscreen is very favorable for us and provides some benefits with very few drawbacks. At this point it would be entirely possible for us to sustain as an "indie" channel, but going independent would provide very little or no added value compared to being a "managed" channel.

 

For us it's all about keeping doors open and maintaining our agility, so utilizing an MCN while also building out an extremely capable internal team is the current approach.

AFAIK Linus, Yvonne, Luke and Edzel are all owners. At least Linus and Yvonne. I think Luke has put some of his own money into LMG which means he owns part of it.

For us it's all about keeping doors open and maintaining our agility, so utilizing an MCN while also building out an extremely capable internal team is the current approach.

So is it something like you are claimed by full screen, they may or may not take a small cut of your earning but they pitch all of their channels to advertisers which in turn allows you to connect with new advertisers, right?

Its good to hire family and friends as consultants in this manner. These LEGAL loop holes have always interested me.

There was one mentioned on the news yesterday or the day before, but I cant remember specifically what it was. The only thing that pops out was the term "Sprinkling" and "Income" or maybe it was before tax or after, arrggg cant remember.

Uh.. Yvonne is not a "stay at home mom," she busts her ass day and in and day out for this company. You probably shouldn't make claims or judgments about what someone does or does not do if you have no clue what the actual facts are.

 

Not trying to be rude, but damn... this comment triggered the f*** out of me as you're acting like the fact that Yvonne is Linus' wife means that she doesn't do shit and just drains money from the company. She's one of the hardest working people here.

I was about to say......I saw Yvonne doing stuff in videos and one CSF video, Linus decorated her new office. 

 

I don't think you could be CFO of LMG by just sitting around....even if you're the wife of the CEO. I really don't think Linus is that kind of person.
