Cant enable Crossfire on HD 7990

So, a friend of mine had a Super "high end build" from Ibuypower all the way back from 2013 (or 14) wich has an FX 9590 and an HD 7990, well after the original PSU blew out (it was a 1000w nzxt unit) i got my hands on it to see the system, well turns out the HD 7990 had also broken it had 1 fan broken from its mount with broken blades and danglin inside the case, well my friend already bought a new psu (corsair AXI850 plat psu) and a GTx 1080

Thing is, i got the HD7990 now, and i bought an original replacement fan, but after running some tests, the card runs insanely hot (more than normal) reachin 90c in  most scenarios, (i already used new thermal grease icy diamond) but my highest concern is that the Crossfire is NOT working, and theres is no Option at all in the new crimson panel, in BF4 the card      yields what a single 7970 would do, arround 50 to 100 fps in the test range doin it at 90c, but the other gpu would sit at idle (as gpu-z shows) and is warm to the touch, while the other almost burned me to a cristp, i read that it should be automatically enabled and disabled by software the crossfire within the card, as it is no real "crossfire" (read that from tomshardware) gpu z shows Xfire as Disabled, any hints tips and tricks you guys wanna share?, the card is mean to be sold after testing and the service i just gave it, but well, if i cant solve this i cant sell it as a properly working card

try and find old catalyst drivers from 2015, and test it with them i had no problems cross firing 2x7970's with them.

15.7 should work if you have windows 7, might struggle to find a driver for windows 10.
