Trying to find the fastest ddr 1333mhz sticks that I can. The board only supports 1333 so that's what it has to be. No sense buying 1600 if I can't use it.

I'll be needing at least 24gb of it in a triple channel compatible ratio for two cpu's. So it couldn't be 3 8gb sticks it would have to be 6 4gb sticks for example.

1333MHz refers to the bandwidth or speed of the sticks, so asking for the "fastest" is literally going to be 1333MHz.

You can look towards lower timings as they will increase whatever the RAM has going for it.

well....all 1333 mhz ram are as fast as 1333 can go. look at Cas latency. Lower is faster

Thats the speed the ram, not going to get an faster. Look at the timings, that can help a little with faster ones.

So you're saying I shouldn't replace the ram I'm using with better ram because the more expensive ram isn't better at all.

So I'm confused , when I look at other 1333mhz sticks performing better in benchmarks , those stick are just producing false numbers and aren't actually better or?

so you're saying that some are faster than others , I suppose thats my question , which ones are faster than the rest

well, 1600 is faster than 1333, but you cant use it from what you said. look for lower CAS Latency rams at 1333. you probably wont see a difference between 9-9-9-32 and 12-12-12-38 (example) depending on what your doing like day to day stuff. if your worried about speeding up your computer, a better cpu, or go from HDD to SSD and that will speed things up

Better is within the margin of error. You get noticeable difference from more capacity or better cpu/gpu

It also depends on the motherboard or CPU you are using as some might not even able to support higher speed RAM

But yes, replacing RAM for higher speed is pointless.

Gaming benchmarks have shown that faster and tighter RAM does make a difference up to a point where the CPU and I/O no longer limit the system.

None. 1333MHz is as fast as any 1333MHz RAM. You'll need to look at timings and go lower, but I wouldn't bother doing so as an upgrade elsewhere would get better results.

Well it depends on what OP specs look like. Those specs doesn't look like gaming though (high ram, dual cpu...).

Well I'm already using two ssds in raid 0 and for a faster cpu I'd have to buy a ryzen 1700x which is only 10% faster than my current cpus so hardly worth the cost. Especially when amd goes into hibernation for 5 years straight an I'm stuck with it lol.

I suppose I'll stick with these cheapo 2009 samsung sticks I have even though they seem as if they aren't as good as others.

no I use the x5679 x2. I was going to sell and replace them with some x5690s which will enable 1333 ram usage as the x5679 only supports 1066. I figure while I did this I would sell and replace the ram with the best 1333 ram that can exist. However if this current ram will be essentially the same then I might as well stick with it.
