G.Skill RGB software Config

Go to solution Solved by DrMikeNZ,

This question has been raised before on the G.Skill forum a long time ago. A G.Skill rep responded that they have no idea how to do it.

When in sleep the RAM needs voltage applied to prevent the memory from being cleared. If you want the lights off then just disable sleep and shut the PC down.

Otherwise to change the RGB module configuration you need to reflash the RAM's EEPROM, you really do not want this to be automatically done or while the system powers down, it is dangerous enough as it is to change the RGB settings at the best of times.

for anyone using the Dark theme:

Does anyone know how to make it so the LEDs on the G.Skill RGB ram will turn off in sleep mode? I have a Maximus IX Hero Mobo and it shuts off but the ram won't. Thanks in advance!!

What do you mean by this?

if you scroll down to the bottom of the page there is a drop down menu to change the Theme. You can change the theme to dark.

I believe the RAM will stay powered during sleep as it holds the memory so that the system can be turned back on quickly.
