Is the ASUS MG278Q PWM/Flicker free?

I am just wondering if this monitor is PWM/flicker free as I currently have the AOC G2460PQU (1080p, 144hz) and whenever I set it to 144hz it causes eye strain due to PWM flickering, the only way to stop it is to turn the brightness up to 90%, which isn't ideal. The late 2015/early 3026 versions of the PQU are flicker free and have no PWM but rather than buying another one I thought it would be worth upgrading to 1440p.

Would a GTX 980 be able to handle 1440p @ 144hz+? I also have another two G2460PQU's that I will be using for secondary monitors, I am just replacing my middle monitor. I will not be doing NVIDIA Surround gaming though, the right and left monitors will only be for productivity (still set to 144hz though as I can't adapt back to 60hz mouse movement).

ASUS MG278Q is PWM-free.

Most monitors are tbh.

Depends on what settings you use and how fast your i7 is.

Not "most" older monitors aren't, pretty sure there's a lot of 1080p 144hz that use PWM such as the ASUS VG248QE and the BenQ XL2411T, I'm sure there's many more but those are pretty common monitors.

I rhought the AOC G2460PQU was flicker free when I first bought it until I changed the refresh rate to 144hz and clearly saw it wasn't.

Thank you for the answer!
