Hey guys, so when I built my pc 8 or 9 months ago, I had an Enermax white cpu fan cooler.  Long story short, both fans that came just broke down ( loose bearings making L O U D noises ).  So, I am trying to get myself into liquid cooling so I can oc my cpu as well ( my 6600k is currently at 4.2GHz with my enermax, yes I know it's low ).  Now, I am looking at this Corsair H100i v2 and it seems like it has been tested and has good reviews on it.  My problem is the air flow, can someone explain to me how rad/rad fans air flow work?  I'm thinking, based on what I've seen from pcpartpicker builds, that they do not have intakes, they're blowing warm air on both ends of the pc.  Pretty much like this:  warm air<--exhaust fan| cpu/gpu| fans then rad--> warm air. . . .OR is this also possible: <---exh fan| cpu/gpu| warm air <---rad then fans| <-- cold air?  I'm just wondering if blowing warm air to the pc is okay, since I see it a lot too.  I appreciate all the help.  Please feel free to suggest anything, i.e. good aio liquid coolers, etc.  Thanks!

rads (like the 100i v2) have normal fan mounts on both sides. you can put them on both sides for push/pull or push+pull. the way the fan is pushing air can be configured by your own. more important is to look if you get positive or negative air pressure in the end since negative means your case will gather dust. if you want to know more about push/pull:

the h100i v2 is btw a great choice, but the fans are not that silent (atleast mine arent).

Oh sweet, I remember this vid from when it was uploaded ahah.  So, our cases will be different, the one on the video, the rads are positioned on top, while on mine, I plan to do it at the from where the intake fans are positioned.  I'm using a Phanteks P400 case btw.  But based on the video, I assumed it is fine to have both warm airs going out and no intakes?  Did I get this right?  <--exhaust| cpu/gpu| rad then fans pointing outside-->??

hmm, I see.  but now that I know the air doesn't have to physically touch the rad, I think I'll do an experiment where I put the rad on top of the case plus the intakes I have in front.  That should probably lessen the dust, atleast I think it would lol.  Also, what aftermarket fans do you suggest I use if the ones that come with it fails?

noctuas are great. the fans that come with the h100i arent bad, just not as good as noctuas (nf-f12),but

the noctuas cost 20€ per fan, so you might stay with the ones that come with the rad.

the h100i v2 comes with 2 fans (SP120L)

I see, yeah, I won't be buying fans right away. Only if things get worst.  I'll stick to the h100i fans first.  Also, thanks so much for answering my questions.  I'm more comfortable buying an aio now lol.

BTW, I almost forgot.  Is the built-in thermal paste good enough? Or should I buy a different one?
