"Never again" products

Mooshi

What gear, product or service made you swear a vow to never purchase again? Try to avoid blacklisting an entire brand if you can help it, lol.

Due to lackluster performance and noise, my never again product, or at least one of them, CORSAIR FANS.

*Opening thread up to beyond computer hardware.

I actually keep a list xD

Lexar, for USB drives

D-Link, for anything

Ubisoft, for their DRM and general attitude toward PC

Edit: forgot a few I've been keeping subconsciously in my head but not written down

Apple, for their general behaviour and how the hardware and (especially) software works

Sony, for anything that I need to login to, give info to, etc.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

I had purchased a Corsair Vengeance 1100 headset in the past which was horrendous, build quality was bad and it broke with careful and light use....

Those days are thankfully over now... it's all about the quality headphones and modmic now.

I will never buy an Alcatel phone ever again in my life, worst smart phone I've ever owned. To be fair though I think they're dead and gone already anyway.

I can't hate Corsair as a whole, their sails are sweet and if it wasn't for Ryzen memory scare, I'd have probably went with Vengeance LED ram lol

Hmmm other nopes for me are Team flash drives and MSI/Asus motherboards.

Logitech, anything I ever bought from them has broken

Turtle Beach, same problem

Rosewill, same problem

ASRock, same problem

MadCatz, same problem

Lenovo, just terrible support

Sony used to be on the list until I bought a PS4, but it's back on the list because my USB ports don't work and my controller will not hold a charge. It also skips when playing blu-rays, requiring me to use my Xbone instead which is hilariously ironic

As for not tech companies

Anything Ford

Ryobi

Megablocks

Pepsi products

you sound like a real Source of sunlight.

For me, Shit breaks its electric's What I look for more is value for money and in that regard Razer Headsets, Both sets the left side stopped working and the Krakens were so stupidly uncomfortable. Love my Razer KB+MS and haven't had any of the Quality issues everyone else seems to get and i'm on my 3rd Death Adder and like 6th Keyboard.

Also Acer Laptops, my god they are a nightmare to work on and enough bloatware to sink a carrier.

Redstone:
i7-4770 / Z97 / GTX 980 / Corsair 16GB  / H90 / 400C / Antec EDGE / Neutron GTX240 / Intel 240Gb / WD 2TB / BenQ XL24

Obsidian:

MSI GE60 2PE i7-4700HQ / 860M / 12GB / WE 1TB / m.Sata 256gb/Elagto USB HD Capture Card

Razer Deathadder Chroma / Razer Blackwidow TE Chroma / Kingston Cloud2's / Sennheiser 429 / Logitech Z333

We tried both a router and webcam from them and ended up taking both back for several reasons each.  I figure if they can't get either of those right, there isn't much hope for anything else so just don't bother any more.

I've had a logitech mouse stop functioning properly due to normal wear and tear but never had a logitech device just up and fail on me for no reason.
Rosewill I find is really hit or miss, I bought one of their mechanical keyboards and it's served me great. Had one keycap break but that was probably due to being too rough when trying to clean it.

But yeah that's just my two cents on those two brands from prior experience.

I simply said that the reasoning is rather lacking. There are perfectly valid reasons to not like Apple, those reasons are just not present here.

The video quality is hideous which I wouldn't mind if I was watching movies on the go but I only watch at home.

Must be your internet connection, I stream 1080p just fine. Occasionally it loads low quality but increases resolution a few moments afterwards.
