Twice while using my computer the image suddenly changed to a black screen with only my mouse cursor showing. How do I fix this?

Between yesterday and today the image on my monitor changed to a black screen with only my mouse cursor showing.

 

The first time it happened I don't think I could move my cursor but this time I can.  Idk what's causing this.

 

Clicking my mouse or keys on the keyboard don't seem to do anything.

Check graphics drivers if applicable.

Try different cable to monitor.

Try integrated graphics to see if it still happens.

Run windows updates.

I'll start by updating the graphics driver.
