CPU randomly spiking to 100 percent during games

Hey guys, my recently my CPU has been spiking to 100 percent in games, then dropping back down to 30-50 percent suddenly. While it does this, the entire computer freezes, and sometimes goes to a black screen. It didn't do this before, but now its doing this in most games. I checked its average temps, min is 40c, max is 50c, and average is probably 43c.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Have you disabled GameDVR (or whatever it's called)? It was introduced a few weeks ago.

Didnt seem to fix the issue, CPU is still maxing out. I played an extremely low end game, too. Any other ideas?

Open up Event Viewer and see what errors are being thrown around.

Might be time to consider starting from scratch with a new clean install of Windows 10. Make sure you attach the OS to your Microsoft account.

that's not gonna solve the issue.. you won't be able to posess someone to fix your computer :P

try reinstalling drivers, also Windows 10 has a refresh function that will clean the windows installation, though you probably have to reinstall software afterwards

Have you tried to perform a sudden temporary interrupt of the electricity flow to your computational device followed by a re-initialization procedure of the central processing unit and associated components?

You need to install audio drivers, go to your motherboards product page and then find the drivers section and download and install the one that says audio.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

This is going to sound dumb but….have you tried turning it off and on again? Its a bit too random for it just to stop working.
