Worth getting a new GPU at this moment?

I have been thinking about getting a new GPU recently something a long the lines of a 1070 or 1080 if I can find one cheap. Do you think at this current moment it is worth buying one or should I wait for the new Nvidia cards to come out and if so how long should I be expecting to wait.

Vega comes out next month, I'd wait. Even if you don't want an AMD card they might bring Nvidia prices down.

I am not one of those guys that upgrade every gen, that's expensive and such a waste of money in my opinion. I am still running a 770 and its starting to show its age. Just looking for a card that will last me another 3-4 years. I may as well wait if Nvidia has GPUs coming out soon but since I haven't been following tech for a good few months I have no clue if they are expected anytime soon.

Either get cheaper card and upgrade more often or get top of the line card and pray that it will last.

there'll always be some new GPU around the corner, buy when your current GPU no longer provides a satisfying experience.
