New PC Build. Is it an overkill?

Hey everyone!

            Sorry for not being active for so long. But, I finally can start focusing on getting a new PC. Here are the parts I chose : https://pcpartpicker.com/list/JjQzGf . It would be a big help if you guys give any suggestion and is it an overkill? or do I need to change something in it?. I will be using this pc for average gaming and learning android studio, c# etc.

How is an i5 overkill?

 

it looks fairly balanced imo. But these days Ryzen 1600 is the way to go if you are looking at an i5 price point.

Yea, I just wanted to ask from the bests. so, Ryzen 1600 is better?

It makes more sense because for the money you are getting 6 cores and 12 threads with Ryzen, whereas the 7600 is only 4 core 4 thread.

That build would be ok but it sacrifices storage too much with that SSD and puts money in the wrong places.

wow thanks! but is water cooling a must though? and is this build good for working on android studio, c# etc?

Maybe change the RAM to 3200 mhz or faster but you are on the right track. And if you were ok spending $1200 on the i5 build, you could take the savings and bump the GPU to a GTX1080 if you wanted.

Not at all. The included CPU cooler will work just fine if you want to save $65.

I edited the build to have faster memory and it is now only $7 over $1,000

Seems like most of the people go for Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO. Will it effect the performance in anyway if I go for it too?

ehh. The included coolers are pretty kick ass. 

 

I would say try it without a cooler and get a aftermarket cooler later if its not enough.

Don't. The stock is just as good.

Nah. Nowdays you don't have to maintain. Just install.

I wouldn't. If you asked @STRMfrmXMN our resident PSU expert he will recommend you towards something like a M12II or EVGA B3 or Corsair CXM grey at the least.
