my all time favourite age of empires, and the only reason why Age 2 and 3 have more game hours is because this got shut down and they to had fill the void left by this great loss. And im not salty at all for buying all civs and see them disappear nito thin air

Remove the MMO aspect of it and it basically was Age of Empires 1 with a fresh coat of paint and already looked better than the glimpses of the remaster they showed at E3.

One day I will be able to play Monster Hunter Frontier in French/Italian/English on my PC, it's just a matter of time... 4 5 6 7 8 9 years later: It's finally coming!!!

Yeah AoE Online wasn't that bad.

 

If you want travesty there's always 3.

i know. the problem was the whole online aspect ruined it.

always online login or online in general? cause you could still play it a single player experience regardless, they hadn't put to much emphasis on the MP aspect and between the daily quests, civ campaigns and skirmishes either for lvl up, farming or just skirmish for the heck of it, it was decent in that regard since that side of the game is what i loved in Age 3 (the hometown lvl up to unlock cards for your deck)

Looks nice, but I'd love to see them make an Age of Empires 4. I'd buy that in a heartbeat. I wish there was an age of empires with online multiplayer and dedicated servers(not the p2p stuff we have in age of empires 3 where people just drop if they're gonna lose).

Not going to happen, no real market for AAA RTS game

 

Low $ return per $ invested.
