Rise of Nations is my jam! It's just enough grand strategy without losing the RT part of it. AND you could modify unit files to make your own game balance (I always wanted to do a realistic RoN Modern Age where tanks had more armor than the attack of infantry, AT infantry had enough attack to pierce them but fired at a very slow pace, etc)

There's actually a rumoured 4th DLC for AoE 2 coming out, must be that.

 

4th game seems too ambitious.

Hell yes, make it so it can use multiple threads so it doesn't die when there are many units on a large map. That game becomes a slide show on every PC late game.

Game still handles threading terribly and wont use more than 2, badly :P.

 

Nope Supreme Commander is only single thread, Supreme Commander 2 can use two.

AoE2 added some much needed UI changes and civilization balancing. AoE and AoE2 are those timeless gems that can be picked up and played whenever you have the urge.

AoE II is an absolute 10/10 in my book, and there are only 7 other games I have played since the mid 1980s that I'd rate 10/10.

my all time favourite age of empires, and the only reason why Age 2 and 3 have more game hours is because this got shut down and they to had fill the void left by this great loss. And im not salty at all for buying all civs and see them disappear nito thin air

i decided to check, AOE2 does allow you to just resize the window (when in windowed mode)

 

so there's at least that resolution wise :D
