So uh i got a really weird problem, something that I've never encountered or heard of before in my many years of building computers. It happens COMPLETELY RANDOMLY, one morning i would wake up and my pc won't turn on, all LEDs on my motherboard are lit and if i even move my mouse the LEDS on the mouse will turn on like normal, but if i press the power button on my case, literally nothing would happen. To temporarily fix it, I unplug my power cable from the powerboard im using (some $70 AUD BELKIN one) and just plug it into a different slot on the same powerboard, and JUST doing that would allow my pc to turn on... My pc would be good for a few days, even sometimes for a few weeks, and all randomly one morning my pc wouldn't turn on again, COMPLETELY RANDOM. When my pc is turned on literally nothing weird happens, I would be able to play a game for 6 hours + and nothing weird would happen. So I don't think its hardware related, when the pc does boot, it boots up fine, no errors whatsoever. My pc specs are as follows:

CPU: i7 7700k STock speeds

RAM: 16gb DDR4 ram 3000MHz (Corsair Vengence)

PSU: seasonic-x 1250w (gold certified)

GPU: ASUS GTX 1080

I have a feeling the cause of my problem could be due to having way too many electronics plugged in, but I'm really not sure. TO list it anyway I have all of this plugged in:

1. Yamaha Reciever

2. external headphone amp and dac (Schiit stack)

3. Capture card (avermedia gc550)

4. Obviously monitor an ASUS pg248q

5. PS4 PRO

6. a Subwoofer not sure what brand and its specs

7. My computer

All into the same powerboard which is connected to an extension cable and connected to a 2 slot wall outlet. So what do you guys think my problem is?

You have too many electronics. Try unplugging everything apart from your necessary things, like computer and monitor. If you need your PS4 Pro only plug it in when you're going to use it. Use this for about a few weeks and see if the problem persists.

CPU: Intel Core i7 8700

GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070

MOBO: ASUS Z370-F STRIX

RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 2133MHz

hmm yeh i was thinking if it does happen again, i will try unplugging something and see if the pc actually turns on lol... but say if I wanted to leave everything plugged in, whats a fix?

Get another power strip just for your computer and monitor.

I edit my posts a lot.

Yeah i was gona do that but just for my Subwoofer as it is closer to the wall outlet. I've had this setup for quite a while now and it only just started happening about 2 months ago, so what other things do you guys think could be the cause?

ok so uh, I did what you guys recommended, which was put a bunch of stuff on to a different power board. So I got my pc, my monitor and my external amp and dac on one board. My reciever, subwoofer and ps4 pro on a different board. I woke up this mroning and my pc refused to boot, even after I tried my trustee fix of unplugging power cable and plugging into different slot, that actually did not seem to work this time no matter what. So i opened up my pc and tried pressing the "on" botton that my motherboard has, that did not work either!!?? so I reseated my ram, replug 24pin, made sure power cables, reset cable etc etc are properly plugged into mobo. I turned the psu power back on and tried booting up my pc again and this time it worked.... I made sure all my fans were spinning, but noticed one cable was in one of the fans way (i accidently just did this, not something that was like this for a long time) so i powered off my pc, turned off psu and moved the cable out of the way and turned psu back on. PC WOULD NOT TURN ON AGAIN WHAT THE HELL RIGHT!???? I turn off psu, unplug power cable, wait for power to completely turn off from mobo by just waiting for the LEDs on mobo to completely shut off, then i plugged cable back in and turn psu back on. This time my pc turned on fine again.

So its safe to say, it most probably is not electricity related, but pc hardware related now. I'm still not very sure though, as imo if it was pc related i should be seeing problems when my pc is turned on and in my operating system which im not...
