PSA - H60s are garbage?

I payed $83 including taxes for my H60, not great  but not terrible for BNIB in Canada,

 

Just bought a $40 second hand refurbished H80i v1 for $40, I'm running a 4.6Ghz OC 15-20c cooler than the H60 ran a 4.3Ghz OC...

Well its a thin single 120mm vs a thick 120mm. No on ever recommends the h60 on the forum. Also you should measure the temperature after the coolant as equalized

There's a few computer parts that should never be purchased used and this includes CPU coolers.

Considdering that most CPU coolers are literally just giant chunks of aluminum and/or copper with fans bolted to them, what's the major risk?  Literally the ONLY moving part is the fan and it's pretty easy to tell if that works fine or not.

They are not meant to last that long. The biggest risk is the pump or the tubing braking in a liquid cooler.

Not saying its recomended but damn is the difference striking.  I waited for my coolant to equalize as well, using P95 and core temp the final core temps were basically 56,57,60,58

 

Versus 75,78,80,77 on the H60.  Both are using the same 2 PWM fans and everything

Sounds like the radiator was the limiting factor.
