How to lower Bass from speakers in Windows 10

I need to lower the bass on my speakers(my parents hate Bass and it really annoys them), how would I go about doing that? Do I need to download an equalizer or is there something built into Windows that will help me?

Just go to the Sounds and Headphones properties and there should be a tab. If there isn't you need an equalizer program.

There is a "enhancement" called Low frequency protection in win 10. To access it open volume mixer (right click on a small speaker icon in a tray, double click on your output device icon, enhancements tab). Open the settings of the Low frequency protection, select cut frequency (try from 20Hz until 200 until you get the desired sound) and enable it.

That was about buying different speakers, I just decided to use the bose with my computer

Socks, an old shirt, a blanket.. anything soft and pliable really. Remember you're plugging the hole, not filling the box, so don't push stuff inside the speaker.
