second monitor to compliment an ultra wide

I currently have 3440x1440 34 curved monitor. I definitely want a second monitor to go with the ultrawide. If I get a 2nd screen would it also have to be 1440 to avoid looking horrid or does a 1080 screen look fine?

I have a 2560x1440p and a 1920x1080p side by side and it looks atrocious if your'e in a desk setting. After getting used to 1440p, I don't think I can ever go back to 1080p.

 

But on a more practical note, It is really annoying when I try to move windows from one screen to another as it will change size drastically because of the difference in resolution.

 

Personally, I strongly recommend a 1440p as the second screen.
