Bent Wifi Card on ROG Z270E

Go to solution Solved by Shad0wxPhoen1X,

Thanks guys but I got it to work! Both antennas are now straight and the motherboard is seated correctly! I don't have to RMA anything! On with the build!

I unboxed my motherboard to see that it has a bent wifi antenna. I didn't think much of it at the time, thinking it was an easy fix later. I successfully posted the system, and prepared the case for the motherboard. Now I don't know if I'm just inserting the board wrong, or if it's the wifi card, but the board refuses to enter the io shield or sit on the standoffs. My dad and I are thinking of using pliers to bend back the metal, but if push comes to shove, will forcing the antenna to go through the io shield hurt the board in anyway?

Thanks!

P.S I'm using a wired connection for internet, so it's not that critical to the outcome of the build.
