So basically I built the PC once and didnt test it before I built it and the motherboard I believe fried on power up. so I sent back the MOBO and PSU. got the new parts in tested on top the MOBO box and all good.

Did stress test, played a few games. a week went by and last night the Mobo died. No idea why. all my parts are new except the GPU the testing went over fine. I didnt over clock the GPU or CPU everything is stock.

Im lost. I bought all the parts brand new except the 1080 I got it cheap on amazon I figured even if it didnt work I can send it back but after my stress testing it seems fine.

I still have warranty and 30 days with amazon to get this str8 but im wondering if the GPU can fry the mobo since ive replaced the mobo and psu once already. or could it be touching the case? idk never had a problem like this before please someone help.

Oh last thing, I had to purchase a AM3 backplate for the kraken cooler it was on both motherboards I just got the AM4 bracket in the mail so ill be using that for the next mobo but could that have been the issue? cooling temps were fine and the backplate is mostly plastic except the threading holes. but like I said I will be using the am4/3 backplate that it comes with next time
