Gigabytes New Laptop: SabrePro 15

Gigabyte has revealed their New SabrePro 15 Design at Computex 2017, Original Post from Cnet.

"Gigabyte pushing the upper limits of budget gaming laptops, especially with the Pro tag."

Key specs

  • Intel i7 Core
  • Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060
  • 15.6-inch full HD (1,920x1080-resolution) panel
  • RGB per-key backlit keyboard
  • 390mmx268mmx25mm
  • 2.5 kg
  • 8/16GB RAM (up to 32GB max)

with above specs it is looking like "the price up to $1,499 in some configurations (around AU$2,000 or £1,100 converted)." but it is good to see everyone is looking towards thing light weight gaming laptops as i'm over the days of 4 - 5 KG alienwares ;)

I have a clevo p651rp with this exact same specs, it's less tacky and also less expensive. plus it has dual 2,5" bays and dual m.2 slots, also 4 RAM slots. the new version of it even has the rgb keyboard.

Personally, I can't really comment on whether or not the laptop looks ugly - they barely took any pictures of the thing...

$1500 can get you a killer desktop though.

$1500 can get you a Clevo with a real desktop CPU in it and GTX 1060, lol. Man, these "thin" laptops sure do come with a hefty premium x.x

I don't know what it is with Gigabyte.  The Aero 14 is such a good laptop, but it looks so bad compared to the MSI GS63VR that I'd never seriously consider it.
