This test was finished just now on my Maingear Element using Wi-Fi 6--I have a 500/500 plan with Frontier, and on Ethernet I get those speeds, but the DL speed is slightly lower on my laptop Wi-Fi. I'm too lazy to go walk over to my desktop, but this is good enough.

Update: I now have the full Gig connection--I need a WAN/LAN port of more than 1 gig on my router to get above like 940, but here's where I am right now

PPPoE straight into PFSense from the ONT provided by the local telco. From what I see on the internet, is this not normally the case? I often see users who are made to use the ISP router in bridged mode in order to use their own router.

Verizon offers an ONT. AT&T offers a Combo device. It’s differs provider to provider.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Mobile ? Huh thinking it was for PC .. Now for mobile if I cross off home or enterprise wifi you'd be capped by the 3G/4G/5G speeds of your operator, don't really much depends on your equipment

I liked the time 256kbps was quadrupled 😮

ADSL also, far superior to IDSN as I've read.

Just had full fibre installed today. The package I signed up for was 900Mbs up and down so I'm happy with the result.
