So I have a Logitech M510 wireless mouse that I've been using since Christmas and about a week ago it started double-clicking off and on whenever I single-click the left mouse button. It's gotten progressively worse since then and now most of the time I click the left mouse button it registers a double-click 90% of the time rendering it almost unusable for basic use let along gaming.

I've done some googling and it looks like it's a kind of common issue with Logitch mice, has anyone here had the same issue? If so how did you fix it?

I'm currently waiting for Logitech to get back to me on my support ticket I opened as I can't seem to find the receipt for it so I can't return it to Best Buy and am looking for solutions.

I have used a lot of Logitech mice, the ones I've used the most are the G500, Some random wireless one and a G502. I've never had this issue, it seems like a hardware problem to me so you should wait and see what logitech gets back to you with.

That's what I was thinking.

I just wanted to see how prevalent it really was since googling a problem with a product can kind of become an echo chamber since the only people who really talk about the products are those who are having problems with them lol.

The mouse switch for the left button is defective. It is a problem lots of Logitech mice have. If you are still on warranty try to get it RMAd or swapped out at the store where it got bought.

Else if the warranty is over and you know how to use a soldering Iron, do as I did with my MX, get fitting omron switches (cheap on ebay) and swap them out yourself.

This is really a hugh problem Logitech has and ignores. Else there wouldn't so much tutorials on Youtube for lots of Logitech mice on how to swap out the switches.

Again, I used cheapo 20$ wireless one for like 5 years no problem. You really shouldn't be having that problem with a almost new mouse from a good manufacturer like logitech.

Try removing all Logitech software from your machine and go with the Microsoft defaults on the mouse.  The Logitech software caused more problems for me than it solved.  Of course, after removing the software, reboot the machine.

After removing the software, everything returned to normal including the clicks and the lines scrolled when using the wheel.  Using a Logitech Performance MX now for a long time, years.  Love the mouse, hate the software.

I've tried that already unfortunately. My first guess was some sort of driver issue but I've uninstalled/reinstalled every piece of software Logitech has and am using the default driver from Microsoft now as I didn't see the point in leaving software installed that didn't fix my problem. This is what led me to believe it was a mechanical problem and to start looking for similar issues online and it seems it affects a lot of their mice.
