Posted May 21, 2017 Hi I'm soon gonna build a new gaming PC and I keep doing small changes and stuff so I thought I'd get some extra opinions. The total budget is 1000€ flat but i also need to buy peripherals and furniture with that money. I was set on the RX580 from Gigabyte earlier but neither that or any other cheap RX580 is available until June and i don't know when I'm going to build this so the 1060 is my option for now. Posted May 21, 2017 Author Ok then I'm sticking to the 1600 but why shouldn't I get an aftermarket cooler when it's rather cheap and helps a lot. Also i can easily add more RAM later and 8GB is enough especially for a start. The PSU is quite enough from what I've seen but i can step to 500W so i might do that. The GTX1060 is slightly cheaper because it has more cheap vendors like Zotac and KFA2 etc but the RX580 is a better buy, if the cheaper versions are available when i buy it. As for a FreeSync monitor i really don't think i can fit that in my budget. @ZM Fong Link to comment https://linustechtips.com/topic/782665-i-would-like-some-opinions-on-my-planned-build/#findComment-9866493 Share on other sites
 The newer Pure Power 10 is based on a more modern DC-DC design. It's a good budget unit. The problem with some of the BQ units is that they tend to not be the most cost friendly option in many regions. In Germany, however, it does seem to be better price (as BQ is a German brand) and well as offer very good support there. Anyways, while it isn't a bad option especially if the OP is looking for something that's very quiet, I would recommend spending €5 more for the Corsair Vengeance 400 as it is better build and offer a longer 5 year warranty with good support as well. https://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/400-Watt-Corsair-Vengeance-Non-Modular-80--Bronze_1031394.html Link to comment https://linustechtips.com/topic/782665-i-would-like-some-opinions-on-my-planned-build/#findComment-9867555 Share on other sites
