  2. i5-7500 US $198

RAM: 16GB DDR4 2400MHz

Hi,

I'm building a PC for a friend and he is on a budget. A friend in comun is selling his i7-6700 at US $192.00 and on Amazon the i5-7500 is at US $198.

He already has a motherboard, ASRock H270 and the RAM, 16GB 2400MHz. So far, the CPU and RAM are compatible with the CPU.

Which is better for gaming and daily use?.

6700 is much better, dont know why your friend is selling it cheaper.

Please quote our replys so we get a notification and can reply easily. Never cheap out on a PSU, or I will come to watch the fireworks.

The i5 7500 would be a downgrade. It would be utterly ridiculous to spend $6 and get worse performance in games and daily use. Keep the i7.

I have a 6600k that I'll trade for the 6700 lol.

i5 6600k @ 4.4ghz on Hyper 212 Evo

Powercolor RX 480 8Gb Red Devil @1330Mhz

Bottom line:  Don't be a spaz or an 800lb gorilla when installing your expensive CPU, and you won't have any problems. --Phate.exe

Thanks for all your opinions.
Our friend is selling his 6700 because he wants to buy a 7700k.
I will tell my friend to buy the 6700 to our other friend then,
Thanks for all.
