Ryzen 5 or KabyLake i5

piemadd

This summer I am planning on building a rig. I don't currently have a target price, but I think somewhere around $800 (USD). I have come up with a sample parts list.

Any suggestions on changes?

If I give a thumbs up on a suggestion, it will be implemented. my goal is 1080p 60fps. if anyway i can make this cheaper, please inform me

i like trains 🙂

And there isn't really a way to get it any cheaper. I'd advise saving some more money and getting a RX580 8GB and a proper PSU.

Ryzen 5. Much more compelling than an i5 if you're going with a new system that can't be upgraded.

Here this goes over your budget but you can take that other monitor but I think you'll like going of 60hz

Here's my build... proper power supply, RX 580 w/ FreeSync monitor and a B350 motherboard for overclocking.

I did cut back on RAM but 8GB will get you through gaming just fine.

This bad boy outperforms in every way, good choices all around.  With $50 extra room you could upgrade the case to something like an inwin 301 + a couple fans with tempered glass side panel, looks frikken glorious.
