I hear sound only through headphones setting

Greetings,

 

I have a Soundblaster Z retail sound card and a Logitech 2.1 speaker system. I do not have headphones.

 

However, the only way to hear sound is to choose the headphones setting at the soundblaster control panel. If I choose speakers, I get no sound.

 

What am I doing "wrong"? Thanks.
