Is the built in amp in this good enough for HD 650s?

well it should be able to power them, would it be the best match? No, but it will work.

Should be enough in terms of power, but you might wanna get a proper tube amp for them later. They will really benefit from one.

Would a little for MK3 suffice? Or do you have any other recommendations?

I am not the biggest fan of little dot amps. For the HD 650's something like a schiit valhalla 2 would be good, it is a OTL tube amp, so it only really has power in the higher ohm's, but that isn't a problem for the HD 650's since they have a high ohm rating.

i know you say ohm to make it  more understandable, but please say impedance, because saying ohm rating is just wrong.

Yeah, I try to simplify it so everyone can understand it. I will say impedance from now on :D

How much is the Valhalla 2 in the UK? Also would it pair well with a Modi 2 Uber?

schiit-europe.com has it for 399€, schiit.eu.com has it for 360£. It will be fine with a modi 2 uber

Sorry, I edited my post for the BiFrost. I'm guessing the BiFrost will work better with the Valhalla 2.  Is it much better than the Modi 2 Uber? I.E 200 pounds better

I found it better than the Modi 2U with the AKM 4396 DAC chip, but now the current production Modi 2U has the AKM 4490 just like the Bifrost, so that may have closed the gap. The difference wasn't huge to begin with.

TBH I am not the biggest fan of it and as SSL said the modi 2u has a the AKM 4490 now. I would save the money

It would honestly depend on how different the analog stages are on the two DACs, you buy the Bifrost for the analog stage, not for the chip.  But the extra money that could be spent on a Bifrost 4490 could go instead to a Modibit so right now the Bifrost is in dire need of an upgrade.

And the power supply.

sure the implantation is better of the bifrost, no doubt about that. All I meant was that the modi 2u is even closer to a bifrost than it was before.
