TunnelBear! The simple to use VPN that stops working after a while...

After Linus plugged TunnelBear, I bought a year sub to it. Everything was going great. Then, after an update prior to March 18th, my VPN would stay connected, but I couldn't connect to any websites, online games would lose their connection, and streaming music from my Google Play account would die... All these connections would stay dead until I turned TunnelBear off.

I emailed their support and provided them an export of the logs (at this point, I always attach an export when I reply to their emails) and they got back to me. "Try this beta version" is the popular response. The only improvement I got was that existing connections would stay connected, but any new connections wouldn't work until, once again, I turned TunnelBear off.

So maybe now, after 2 months of beta versions, statements of "we're sorry this is happening to you", and a general loss of faith that this will actually get resolved, I come here to the LTT forums hoping that by publicly airing my grievance, another TunnelBear user would step forward and say they're experiencing the same thing... Is there another TB user out there like me with the same issue?

I'm not denying their customer support is good. It is. The problem is that it's been 2 months and there's no solution. I'm about 4 or 5 months into my year sub and they've offered nothing to compensate.

Have they at least identified the problem? If after two months they can't say "this is what's wrong" then it's time to move on. It's a VPN so there are only so many thing that can be wrong. Either it's a problem with the client, your PC, your network, their network, or their server. If they haven't told you the issue then ask them and report back here please. I'm interested to know what they've determined so far to see how simple or complex a fix would be.
